PLC Programmer

About the Role

As a PLC Programmer and Automation Engineer at Mabema, you will play a key role in developing control systems for our quality inspection machines within our business area Ammo. Your responsibilities will include programming and developing Siemens PLC systems and integrating them with the machine’s electrical and mechanical components. The role also involves electrical design work using elproCAD.

You are expected to have a hands-on approach and the ability to work systematically from concept to implementation. Analytical skills are essential, as the role involves significant problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and develop control systems for machines using Siemens PLCs.
• Oversee the integration of PLC systems with the machine’s mechanical and electrical components.
• Perform electrical design for machines and related equipment using elproCAD.
• Work on new development, improvements, and maintenance of the machines’ automation systems.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of machines.
• Contribute to design changes and ensure traceability and documentation in accordance with requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in PLC programming with Siemens PLC systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine design.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical design, particularly with elproCAD.
• Solid understanding of the entire development process, from prototype to finished product.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English.
• Practical skills and a strong interest in problem-solving.
